February 13, 2004:

Aces N Sevens is back for his second season in Canada.

Already, the RUSH to Aces N Sevens has begun. As of this writing, 150 contracts have been sent to eager breeders.

We have been proclaiming for over a year now that Aces N Sevens is the best value in breeding in North America - and it was a matter of time before the 'word' got out. Breeders are clamoring from virtually every Province AND State involved in Harness Racing.

Want early speed? Want soundness? Want conformation? Want modern bloodlines? Want value?

Aces N Sevens HAS IT ALL.

Call the farm NOW - while you still have the chance.

AUGUST 15, 2003:

Come see our 2003 yearlings.

Aces N Sevens has received a full book of 217 mares in 2003, as breeders continued to come forward long after the book was announced as closed. Many breeders have already booked their mares for 2004. You'd be wise to do the same.

Aces N Sevens is on his way back to Australia now - and when he gets there, he'll have a new friend. Pepper Tree Farm has landed Jennas Beach Boy for Australian duties. Jenna's Beach Boy is guaranteed a full book in New South Wales. Congratulations Rob and Julie Vandyke.

Please take a look at our Yearlings page, to see the pedigrees of the yearlings we have consigned for 2004. There will be a number of top performers among them. Note that U.S. Open has five 2-year-old starters ... from just 17 registered foals. These include Grassroots winner Princetown Michael 2, 2:00.4 ($13,927). His 2003 crop consists of just 18 foals.

We are justifiably proud of our 2003 yearlings, and believe they will be Setting The Pace in years to come. As always, feel free to give the farm a call, and come out to inspect the yearlings.

APRIL 15, 2003:

ACES N SEVENS' BOOK IS FULL FOR 2003.

Aces N Sevens has received a full book of over 200 mares in 2003. Thank you to the many breeders who see the unlimited potential carried by Aces N Sevens. During the past few weeks, word has reached the US that Aces N Sevens is standing in Ontario - resulting in Aces being booked to mares in New Jersey, Ohio, Michigan, Florida and New York
.

With the influx of US mres at a time when the book is being closed, it is patently obvious to us that Aces' popularity will be very high again next year.

We strongly urge you to book early for the 2004 year to avoid being shut out.

MARCH 1, 2003:

Aces N Sevens is HERE !!! "Aces" arrived in Canada from Australia last week, and quickly 'acclimatized' to his new home. He is a beautifully conformed stallion - 15.2 hands (as are Cams Card Shark and Big Towner) - and not a cryo mark anywhere. You really should come to the farm and see him.

As of this date, more than 170 breeding contracts to Aces N Sevens have been requested. The book will be closing soon - VERY SOON -
Contact the farm TODAY (Yesterday??) if you intend to breed your mare to Aces N Sevens.

FEBRUARY 15, 2003

Kendal Hills has now sent out more than 100 Breeding Contracts for Aces N Sevens. We are very pleased to know that knowledgeable breeders appreciate the value and potential in breeding their mares to "Aces". While there is still room in Aces N Sevens' 'book', if the response of the past month continues - there won't be for long. Contact the farm soon if you intend to take advantage of the opportunity to breed to Aces N Sevens.

Aces N Sevens will be arriving at Kendal Hills later this week, where he will be quarantined for a short period and given the opportunity to acclimatize to the Canadian winter. Follow the 'news' on this page, and come and see this superb son of Cams Card Shark once he has settled in.

JANUARY 30, 2003:

When we first stated that Aces N Sevens was the best value in Canada - and probably in all North America - a few people were privy to the information we had compiled to support our position. There are a number of stallions performing dual-hemisphere stud duties, and a number of stallions that Aces N Seven defeated in his racing career. We carefully analyzed the fees of those stallions before setting the Introductory Fee for Aces N Sevens. Take a look at the comparisons, and if you are not compelled to book your mare(s) to Aces N Sevens, could you please let us know WHY NOT?

During his four seasons of racing, Aces N Sevens defeated Astreos ($6,000 CDN - $4,400 AUS), Camotion ($6,000 CDN), Goliath Bayama ($8,500 CDN), Intrepid Seelster ($4,000 CDN), Riverboat King ($4,500 US - $4,400 AUS), Armbro Positive ($3,500 US), The Firepan ($3,000 US) and many more - and most of these on numerous occasions. DM Dilinger stands for $5,000 CDN - and $3,000 AUS. Fully Loaded stands for $2,200 AUS - and $3,000 CDN ...

So, here we have Aces N Sevens - who bred 150 mares in his first season in Australia, at a fee of $3,000 AUS ... and we are standing him for $2,500 CDN ... he is simply the BEST value in Canada - probably in all North America ... maybe in the World.

Case closed.

JANUARY 15, 2003:

ACES N SEVENS is off to a flying start already. For the first time since the Coal Harbor days 15 years ago, the farm has been already been flooded with inquiries - and Aces N Sevens hasn't even left Australia yet!!! Many of the breeders interested in "Aces" are from outside Ontario - from New York to Michigan to British Columbia and everywhere in between. We have already sent out over 50 breeding contracts, and each day brings requests for more.

We said all along that Aces N Sevens is the best breeding value in Canada. We knew that we were setting his stud fee at an attractive price. So take advantage of Aces N Sevens' INTRODUCTORY $2,500 fee while you can.

DECEMBER 2002:

We are elated to offer an exciting new stallion to Ontario for 2003. ACES N SEVENS was a champion at two - taking marks of 1:52.1 (Governors Cup) and 1:52.2f (Matron Stakes) - and was named NJ 2yo of 1999 (over Astreos). At three, he lowered his mark to 1:50.3, and defeated both Astreos and Gallo Blue Chip in the $500,000 Hoosier Cup. He was also a finalist in the Meadowlands Pace and the North America Cup .

Aces N Sevens returned to the races after his 3-year-old campaign, and in the summer of 2002 paced FIVE sub-1:50 miles while racing against Real Desire, Camotion, Gallo Blue Chip and Armbro Proposal (among others). He lowered his mark to 1:48.4 ... making him the fastest son of Cams Card Shark to stand in Canada.

He had early speed, and lots of it ... returned to race successfully against the best in the sport at three ... and continued to exhibit his gameness as an older horse. He has bloodlines that are among the best in the sport, featuring a No Nukes mare out of the superb Town Tramp (Big Towner). And if you come to the farm to look at him, you will see a wonderful standardbred athlete.

Purchased privately in the summer of 2002 by Pepper Tree Farm in Australia, Aces N Sevens was bred to 140 mares this fall (their spring). Rob Vandyke of Pepper Tree Farm has chosen Kendal Hills as the home for this young son of Cams Card Shark - thereby affording Ontario breeders the opportunity to breed to a top stallion.

At an Introductory fee of just $2,500 - we're confident that you will agree that Aces N Sevens is the best value in Canada - and probably all of North America.

SEPTEMBER 2002:

Thank you to all of those horsemen who bought a Kendal Hills Stud Farm yearling or one sired by a Kendal Hills stallion. We wish you all the best in the coming years with your purchases, and welcome you back to check out next year's youngsters.

AUGUST 2002:

Klingon Hanover will not be standing at Kendal Hills Stud Farm in 2003. Given the relatively lukewarm response to Klingon, it would seem that our excitement at standing this magnificently structured stallion was not matched by the breeders in the Province. Klingon is moving to Quebec, where we hope he will attract a larger book of mares.

We are moving forward - with the express intent on providing Ontario with a stallion that will capture the imagination of the breeder. We hope to have more news as the season progresses.

APRIL 15, 2002:

Check out the Klingon Hanover page for the complete story of this great performer's career ... his attributes ... and his bloodlines. Klingon Hanover really did have 'warp-factor speed' - and heart and determination to boot. Many knowledgeable breeders have 'beamed their mares' to Klingon Hanover, especially after seeing the video highlighting his superior racing ability. It's time you did too.

APRIL 1, 2002:

The STRONG CLANS continue to impress:

When we decided to put the 'pop-up' at the Standardbred Canada site - with a connection to the Strong Clan newspage, we made a decision to try to reach EVERY trainer of a Strong Clan 2-year-old. We decided to take the good with the bad, and report it back to you honestly. We were absolutely thrilled to hear the reports. In stable after stable, the Strong Clan 2-year-olds are among the best of the bunch.

Carl Jamieson's filly continues to impress - having trained in 2:16 off a 1:10 half (1:06 / 30) ... in a jog cart !!!

Scott LaPage's filly is the smartest filly in the barn ... ever ... and is, in his words "something special".

As you are reading through the training reports provided at the Strong Clan newspage, there are a few things we ask you to keep in mind:

1. There are only 34 Strong Clan 2-year-olds
2. Strong Clan had 23 fillies and only 11 colts in the first crop
3. We are endeavouring to get HONEST feedback to you about ALL the Strong Clan 2-year-olds
3. Strong Clan remains the best value in Ontario - at just $2,000 !!!

FEBRUARY 15 , 2002:

HUGE Kudos for STRONG CLAN's First Crop!:

CARL JAMIESON: "The best 2-year-old filly in my stable is by Strong Clan, and (she is) quite possibly the best filly I've ever trained. I've already booked a mare and I would definitely recommend breeders to Strong Clan." (Feb. 12, 2002)

BENOIT BAILLARGEON:
"I am very happy to own and train Strong N Steady. He is very good gaited, well-mannered, smart and shows lots of early speed. I have already recommended Strong Clan to broodmare owners."

SCOTT LAPAGE:
"The nicest filly I've trained for a long time. She broke easy and is perfectly gaited, very well built, and smart and no traits of sourness."

BUD SINCLAIR:
"The filly I am training for Dr. Norm Amos is built like a 3-year-old stud colt, has a super attitude, is very intelligent, has a great gait and wears 59" hopples. I would definitely recommend (and already have) breeding to Strong Clan."

RICK HEWITT:
"I love him. Lots of brain, great gaited and broke easily. I would definitely recommend breeders to Strong Clan."

RAY LOWERY:
"We have a Strong Clan in training - great gait, good attitude, doing everything right. I would recommend breeding to this horse."

TWINBROOK FARMS:
"A great-looking free-legged filly, very smart with a good attitude. We would recommend breeding to Strong Clan."

Take it for what it's worth - and take a look at Strong Clan in 2002.

JANUARY 1, 2002:

A new stallion for 2002:

Kendal Hills is proud to announce that KLINGON HANOVER p, 2, 1:52.3; 3, 1:51 '01 ($709,667), has made Ontario his home for 2002 and beyond. He is Presidential Ball's fastest 2-year-old son, and exhibited tremendous gameness and speed in his two years of racing.
